At Â鶹¹ÙÍø, the future of marine science is on full display. Three graduate students in the Department of Biological Sciences have earned honorable mentions for the 2025 National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program.
From classroom curiosity to psychological discovery, Jasper Davis strives hard for the spirit of scientific excellence and the culmination of their commitment will be on full display on May 10, 2025, when they graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

Ethan Landers will graduate from Â鶹¹ÙÍø on May 9, 2025, with his Master of Science in Computer Science. He will have obtained his M.S. in one year because of the B.S./M.S. Linked program. For someone who became versed in pivoting through the COVID-19 global pandemic and remote learning, Landers is set to make impacts in technology globally.
With research as the centerpiece of his evolvement in science, Jimenez worked hard in psychology so that he could have options when it came to his choices of a career.
Jason Collins, Ph.D. is a double Monarch. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 2008 from Â鶹¹ÙÍø as well as his doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2015. Less than five years later, he was part of a team that discovered a new disease that had gone undiagnosed for decades.
Psychology alumna, Tamika Lett, Ph.D., CCTP, NCAC II, CSAC, HS-BCP and CEO of T. L. Payne Consulting, LLC was awarded the 2024, 40 under 40 by Â鶹¹ÙÍø’s Alumni Association (Â鶹¹ÙÍøAA). She is at the top of her profession, but through personal tragedies and obstacles she solidified her footing in the field of psychology, criminal justice and human rights.
