On April 17, 2025, Â鶹¹ÙÍø's chapters of Psi Chi and the Association of Psychology Students (APS) hosted a sold-out induction ceremony at the Norfolk Yacht Club. The evening was filled with excitement and anticipation with 100 guests in attendance which included new and returning members, friends, family, faculty, and staff. The night was a celebration of academic excellence and community.Â
This year the induction ceremony hit a new milestone with an 160% increase of new inductees compared to last year. The resurgence of membership reflected the renewed energy and active presence of Â鶹¹Ù꿉۪s Psi Chi and APS chapters. The ceremony not only honored academic prowess within our university, but also the next steps this generation is taking for a better and brighter future.
Psi Chi is an honor society that answers to an international central office and Â鶹¹ÙÍø is chapter #320. There’s a GPA and course requirement to join.
APS is open to all Â鶹¹ÙÍø students, with no requirements. Typically, students are members of APS until they’re eligible to join Psi Chi. This allows all students to receive the same level of social and professional support, regardless of their qualifications.
The Â鶹¹ÙÍø Psi Chi and APS chapters proudly welcomed the newest inductees and honored their achievements, while also formally installing the next generation of student leaders.
