

The Center for Leadership and Career Development is looking for counselors for the First-Year Summer Institute this summer.
The First-Year Summer Institute (FSI) at Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø is a 3-day program designed to help incoming first-year students transition into college life. FSI emphasizes leadership development, self-awareness, teamwork, and engagement with the Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø campus and its resources.
The First-Year Summer Institute Counselor position is a leadership role where participants serve as mentors, facilitators, and guides for first-year students throughout the FSI program. Counselors are responsible for fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, leading small group discussions, facilitating activities, and modeling leadership behavior.
We are mainly looking for counselors for our first session:
Session 1: Focus on Service, July 14th-July 17th
Participants (and counselors) will get to partake in a hands-on service activity
The participants and counselors will be housed in an Âé¶¹¹ÙÍø residence hall and meals will be provided for the duration of the program.Ìý
Approximately 6-10 FSI Counselors will be selected for each session (4 days commitment) Ìý
